THESE THINGS

 

These are the things that awaken my soul

the need to be healed the need to be whole

The need to be loved and to love in return

these are the things my heart can discern

 

The need to lie down in fields full of dreams

with babbling brooks and crystalline streams

With forest adventures and mysteries untold

these are the things for my eyes to behold

 

The beauty of nature a garden within

a mind full of wonder without any sin

The love of creation before the great fall

these are the things that I need all in all

 

These are the things that make me alive

the love of my Lord and Him at my side

The kingdom within is all that I need

sprinkled all over with heavenly seed
