In Jewish religious practice, it is customary to recite formal blessings at appropriate
occasions, such as after a meal, when observing certain mitzvot, or upon seeing
an extraordinary phenomenon.  We also recite suitable blessings on holidays
and events that commemorate miracles and redemptions of the past.

Various Jewish scholars (notably Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach and Rabbi Chayim
ben Yaakov Felaggi) have pondered the question of which blessings will be recited
when the Messiah comes.  Learning these blessings will not only prepare us tor that
dramatic moment, but it will help us to anticipate and long for the Messiah’s arrival.
